That’s amore! It’s safe to say I’ve officially fallen in love with Italy. Pasta, wine, poolside Aperol spritzs— when can I move? Italy has been on my bucket list for forever, and so far it has definitely lived up to the hype.
If you’re looking to embark on a girl’s trip of a lifetime or a romantic getaway, look no further. I’ve put together a list of all the places you absolutely need to add to your Italy itinerary.
Florence
Amazing views, amazing people, amazing cocktails, Florence was a dream come true. If you’re looking for places to stay and eat in Florence, these are my top picks.
Where to Stay - Hotel Brunelleschi
This picturesque boutique hotel had the most amazing service and the most beautiful décor. It’s tucked away at the end of the cutest cobblestone street, making it the perfect place to escape the bustle of Via Del Corso and relax.
Where to Eat – La Manegere
Wear something loose to La Manegere, because you’re going to want two of everything. Not only is this chic Italian eatery absolutely stunning, but the food is to die for.
Where to Eat Pasta – Simbiosi
If you’re in Florence, stop what you’re doing and head to Simbiosi. I’ve eaten a lot of pasta in my life, but this was by far the best.
Tuscany
We did a lot of exploring (and a lot of eating) under the Tuscan sun, and these are the spots that stood out.
Where to Stay – Villa Campomaggio
We stayed at Villa Campomaggio almost the entire time we we’re in Tuscany. The amazing spa, beautiful pools, and vineyard made it pretty hard to leave.
Where to Explore – Radda in Chianti
Historic wine town? Don’t mind if I do. I’d definitely recommend spending a day exploring the cute boutiques in this picturesque Italian town.
Positano
Bring your camera, because Positano has some of the most Instagram-worthy scenery you’ll ever see. Adorable hilltop houses, steep streets and chic boutiques— this coastal town had me head over heels in love.
Where to Stay – Villa Franca
Villa Franca had the most amazing brunch, pool, and rooftop bar. What more could a girl need?
Where to Stay – Casa Angelina
If you’re planning an Italian wedding or honeymoon, you’re going to want to check out Cass Angelina. This swoon-worthy boutique hotel overlooks the Almafi Coast, and is the definition of understated-chic.
Where to Drink – Franco’s
Clio and I spent way too much time sipping cocktails at this dreamy outdoor lounge bar, and I have zero regrets. If you love great drinks and amazing views, put Franco’s on your list.
